Chapter Summary 9 ~A View to a Death~

Simon woke up after hallucinating and imagining about talking to the Lord of the Flies. He was covered with bugs when he woke up and was emotionless when walking out of the forest. He discovers the rotting pilot hanging by the parachute and was vomiting until there was nothing to come out. Meanwhile Ralph and Piggy were playing by the beach and was splashing water at each other. Most of the boys have joined Jack and are eating when Ralph and Piggy bump into them. Jack orders one of the boys to give them both a fair amount of meat. Jack has truly become a leader at this point, but he treats all of them like servants instead of friends. Jack asks who will join his tribe and Ralph argues with him that he chosen as chief in the beginning. As the weather started to get worse, Jack told everybody to dance. Everybody including Ralph and Piggy joined the tribal dance, they all got their spears and started chanting "Kill the beast! Cut his throat! Spill his blood!." Roger was imitating a pig and charged at Jack and the group was actually hitting them. Simon comes out the forest and is mistaken as the beastie and is beaten to death by the group of hyped up boys. Simon's dead body eventually drifted into the sea.
